President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has urged Nigerians to promote unity, peaceful coexistence and mutual understanding across ethnic, religious and cultural divides, expressing hope that the country’s diversity will translate into prosperity and sustainable development.
The President made the appeal on Sunday in Makkah, Saudi Arabia, while hosting members of his delegation to a dinner. He prayed for divine guidance for the nation’s leaders and protection for Nigerians at home and abroad.
Tinubu expressed confidence that Nigeria’s abundant human and natural resources, combined with the talents of its diverse population, could drive inclusive growth and national development.
Speaking at the event, Kwara State Governor and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors’ Forum, AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, commended the President’s commitment to national development and pledged the governors’ continued prayers for his administration.
Similarly, the Attorney-General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Lateef Fagbemi (SAN), prayed for divine wisdom and strength for Tinubu to deliver justice, good governance and prosperity to Nigerians.
