President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has expressed confidence that Almighty Allah has answered his prayer for wisdom and resilience to continue leading Nigeria, describing his emergence as President as a special divine blessing.
The President made this known on Monday while reflecting on his recent Umrah pilgrimage to Saudi Arabia, where he was granted the rare privilege of entering the Holy Ka’abah in Makkah alongside members of the Nigerian delegation.
Tinubu expressed gratitude to Saudi Arabia’s King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the honour, describing the experience as historic and a reflection of the strong relationship between Nigeria and the Kingdom.
He disclosed that his prayers centred on wisdom, resilience and the ability to serve Nigerians effectively, adding that he had made a similar supplication before the 2023 presidential election and promised to return to offer gratitude if his prayer was answered.
Quoting Surah Aal-Imran, Verse 26 of the Holy Qur’an, the President emphasised that all power and authority belong to Allah, who gives and takes power according to His will.
He described leadership as a divine trust that must be exercised with humility, responsibility and commitment to the welfare of the people.
Tinubu reaffirmed his commitment to Project Nigeria, pledging to remain focused on policies and programmes aimed at driving national development, prosperity and shared progress.
